How to Apply
- Apply through the SDSU portal, ICMS
- Email a one-page personal statement (between 500-700 words) to jlambert@sdsu.edu and smcramer@sdsu.edu that addresses the following prompts:
- How did you develop an interest in natural resources? Was there a specific moment, interaction, or experience that sparked your interest? Feel free to share any personal anecdotes here. Additionally, can you recall any particular influences, personal, professional, or academic mentors that have guided you towards an interest in natural resources?
- Describe how you, your household, or your community has been impacted by previous federal and state policies or by discrimination. You can share personal details if you’re comfortable, but you can also keep your answer general if you’d prefer not to disclose personal information.
- Describe your future academic and career goals and dreams.
- Why do you think this internship is a good fit for you?
- If selected, what do you hope to gain from this internship?
- Fill out the YCA Internship Screening Form
