About SERG

The Soil Ecology and Restoration Group is a research group within the biology department of  San Diego State University Research Foundation. The primary focus for SERG is native habitat research and restoration. Over the years, SERG has worked with numerous federal, state, and local agencies, on public land and privately held lands. SERG has also collaborated with various firms in the private sector to achieve their goals. SERG operates under the umbrella of the San Diego State Research Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit auxiliary organization chartered to further the educational, research, and community service objectives of San Diego State University. Currently, there are active projects with the U.S. Navy in Coronado and San Clemente Island and around the City of San Diego.
